Use of AI6 tiers
Materials in this website make use of AI to differing degrees. The site itself is based off an original modular design by David, updated and retooled for the web with the help of AI. The engineering and site deployment are driven by AI, but projects and writing note their individual AI-influence based on the scale below.
0 NoneNo AI at any stage, including everything written before these tools existed.
1 ToolingAI handled the mechanics: spelling, transcription, reading text out of a PDF, formatting. No words changed.
2 IdeasAI helped with research, sources, brainstorming or structure. I wrote every word.
3 EditedI wrote the draft. AI suggested changes, and I took, refused or rewrote each one.
4 DraftedAI wrote a first draft from my notes or sources. I rewrote it, and I answer for every sentence.
5 GeneratedAI wrote it and I reviewed it closely. Only for text that serves the page: alt text, summaries, machine-readable indexes.
A piece or project takes the highest tier reached anywhere in its words; alt text and summaries are noted, not rated. No image is generated unless its caption says so, and a generated image rates its project at least 4. The six levels follow the REAL Rating.
